After a stop at the Visitor Centre with its interesting display, we will have a five to six mile walk around and above one of the dams. Following a packed lunch we will observe the feeding of the Red Kites at Gigrin Farm Feeding Station and then have tea in Rhayader before our homeward journey.
Both walks depart from the Smithfield car park, Lower Galdeford, at 9am (the Mortimer’s Cross walk arrives back at 5.30pm, the Elan Valley walk arrives back at 6pm). For both walks please bring a packed lunch, waterproof clothing and wear walking boots/shoes.
